I Am Very Lucky, Lucky, Lucky, Lucky.......

Hey there Blogbods! Checking in again with my comings and goings. How have you been? Hopefully completely megarific and sparkling with all your might! Here we are (me and my beautiful A Team) in Papamoa having the most completely awesometastic fun by the ocean. You know what?......I am rich beyond my wildest dreams Funksters, in ways that I cannot adequately express. Sometimes, I guess you've just gotta stop and say to yourself: "Feck-a-doodle-doo kid, life really is grand!". This might sound like a mega crock to some of you fellow Wibbly Wobblers, or that I'm trying to be something I'm not. Honestly Bloglets, the immense power of positivity is so huge it cannot be discounted as a way of healing yourself. Obviously I don't mean it will ever de-wibblify you, of course not...but it can give you the strength to say: " Bollocks to you Wibbles....onwards and upwards, now jog on eh?" We have this 'condition', 'affliction', whatever you want to call it, and you can either sit in a corner and cry and say how unfair it all is (which you're right, it totally is) but when you're done with all that.....the Wibblydoodles are still there. So I say "Wibbles, do your worst because my life won't and absolutely, completely cannot stop for you, EVER! So there my little chick peas, life is for living. There's heaps you can still do. The world still turns whether you decide to opt in or out. C'mon baby....give it a little shimmy just for me!!!! x

Saturday Night is Shining on My Sunday Morning Face (Night Actually)

Well, well, well possums last night came and went and it was fun, fun, fun in a bun, bun, bun! Things began in faborific style when I stumbled across THE PERFECT RED DRESS!!!!!!  $7 in a stellar little op shop! Holy Jaysus, what a quest that was but hey, perseverance pays off Blogwins (believe) It all worked out so completely deliciously megadingdangdoo that I bagged a classy fitted black jacket for $10 and a belt for $5! at the same time! The fashion forward shoptastic Gods were surely smiling down on me and long may they stay!!!
So, it was party night and you can bet your little sparkly arses that this chick was on it like a fat kid in a sweetshop! The band were pretty rockin', the delectable Puffypants had a proper night to remember, she shimmered and shone and this little Parkydoodle danced the night away in my fave killer heels, in cahoots with the darling Princess P.
Am I unusual? (What would Tom Jones say?) I think it's fair to say my wibbly wobblies are moving slowly and that's (obviously) fab for me. I'll take that and run with it thank you very much, ta. I very much get a major feck off kick out of having my diagnosis, but being the Queen of the Floor and nobody knowing. They wouldn't have a clue. Sure, you can't keep a good Disco Dolly down! So come on all you Sparklies....don't let this condition ever stop you from doing what you love. Research is being carried out currently in the UK looking at the potential of dance to alleviate symptoms of Parkinson's. Whoop whoop ...yeah baby. Music to my ears Blogbods. Read for yourself. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/224860.php
Two snippets of funktastic music with this post (lucky, lucky, lucky) Am thinking some Oliver Cheatham to round it off. Enjoy.......xx

I'll House You...the Search Begins......

Well hello there Blogbods. T'is time to share my daily meanderings. Well, the first day of The Chief's holiday brought such excitement and enormous levels of motivation and the Sparkles were in full flow. Managed to have heated 'discussion' in the car over need v want in relation to delicious pair of platform heels at half price and were told by The C Dawg (smallest infant) in no uncertain terms to "stop scribbling!" So we did, made like The Gaga, put on our Poker faces and went viewing several potential new candidates for the bigger, brighter, easy, breezy, beautiful.....Morris Towers! We have found something that could fit the bill already, Go Team! but it's early days and there's a long way to go before the house warming haha!
So, onto other business. My delectable chumwin Princess Puffypants has been attempting a month long celebration of her birthday. So far peeps, this has not been going to plan. Puffster has been plagued with abundant misfortune, cock ups galore and a steady stream of idiots blundering through her best laid plans. A 3 day cruise couldn't make it better and as I write this, my very best disco dolly is a woman on the edge, teetering dangerously on the brink of hysteria. As I see it, the only therapy my little chick pea needs is the power of dance (combined with the medicinal effects of a rake of jaegerbombs!)  and the mad love of all her friends Dance it out baby!!!!! Tonight we party and leave all worries behind. Oh, and give it one last valiant effort to purchase a fecking red outfit!

Have You Ever Seen the Rain?

Hello darling Blogites (not that there's all that many...but we'll get there!) Today, it has been mostly raining. Not good for the upkeep of my fabulous fringe and also not the best outcome for my sparkly ballet pumps of immense gorgeousness! Sigh....
Another short notice kindy gig today, this time in the pm. How completely faborific my afternoon was. I built railways, cooked spectacular playdough meatballs and spaghetti, and quite frankly, gossiped shamelessly with a whole host of gorgeous little people (that's 3 and 4 year olds, I didn't encounter a gaggle of dwarves! Although having said that, it could happen and should never be ruled out and would be equally enjoyable)
I have to confess Funksters, I am mildly concerned at the moment. Concerns of late are about: (a) locating a completely stonkerific, unabashed joy inducing birthday gift for The Chief (why, oh why am I such a last minute chick?) (b) I need/want a job that is amazing and rewarding and funtabulous on such an epic scale that my skirt is permanently lifted magnificently, like how Marilyn Monroe's was when she blundered over that steam vent and (c) what the Holy Jaysus am I going to do on Sat night if there is no bangerific red dress to be found (cos Plan B of red accessories frankly just won't cut it my little honey puffs) and the rain keeps on! Sunshine, sunny bunny sunshine is what I need, or at the very least dryness in the sky. Do me a sun dance Blogbods and send the rain clouds packing.
Sure, it'll all be grand in the end.....it always is. Mwahs Funkeroos enjoy a bit of the old Credence won't ya? xxxx

Cooler Than the Red Dress

Where are you beautiful red dress? Come to Mama.....I need you for Saturday night! Show yourself! x

Hello, Goodbye (Almost)

Well hello Possums....what a day it has been! A veritable whirlwind of manic rushing to and fro and back again. The Chief (hubby and best ever friendkin) has got grumblicious poorlyitis and I was sad that I had to run away like a very fast thing to work with some funky four year olds in a local kindy for the am. Had the pleasure of catching up with my Field Officer (Sparklepants) A most delectable funkster who has journeyed with me thus far to Sparklyville. Will miss her energy, mischief and warmth heaps but, like Dorothy she's off to Oz and I'm beyond happy, it's a perfect result! Her fabulous family need her. Hope to have a cocktail (or two) together somewhere before she goes for good. Thought I might freak meeting other groovy shakers but not so, they were pretty inspiring. Must learn not to hide from the human side of this, after all, it's just a bit of jigging around! Things happen for a reason Poppets, and mostly you are where you're meant to be, to learn and grow and hopefully make a difference to someone somewhere. Wonder where this crazy ass ride will take me? Straight to the bar I reckon.......Bartender? Gin and lemon and lime bitters and one for my friend! Cue Beatles....x

All Aboard the Blog Train. How Exciting!

Yey! Completely faborific chums hanging out with me in Blogsville. Let's do this you Crazy Cats! Support is awesome, gazillions of mwahs! xx Go on James......

Welcome One and All to Sparkleville!!!!!

So, here it is....Mama Sparkle's very first blog! Hurrah!! Thanks for checking in. This blog will chart my daily (don't quote me on that one though!) comings and goings along with all the deliciously delectable people in my life.
It will also serve as a 'Platform of Positivity' because that is what The Sparkles is really all about. The message of this blog is simple and clear: "Live in the now Funksters, be open to new people and experiences, dance and sing for all you're worth and rejoice in the fabulocity of random acts of niceness."
Did I mention the teeny, tiny thing going by the name of YOPD? (Look it up Wikinerds!!!!) Aaaahhh, well, it turns out I won myself a diagnosis in a magic raffle last year (more of that to come, but don't fret, it won't be doomy, gloomy, sadsville) and it's the main reason for beginning this blog. For like Diana Darling says, I am indeed coming out. It's time to tell everyone I'm a groovy shaker. There...did it!
It is, however by no means the only topic I have to talk about. Thank goodness for that eh? Ah yes, you poor unfortunate creature, you have stumbled across the blog of a chick who can talk for hours!!! I will be sending this bad boy out to any similar 'groovers and shakers' out there 'cos it's not all bad. Honest!!! We're gonna go global baby,
so saddle up Possums......I predict a riot!!!!! xx
